I Can’t Compete

Gil put a black light in the bathroom, stuck glow stars all over the place, and gave the kids flourescent dry erase markers and let them draw on the tiled walls.

This afternoon, while Gil was resting, I played Memory with the kids.  Then he came out and proceeded to make a Darth Vader costume for Josiah out of water bottles and cardboard.

It’s a good thing I am useful for things like nutrition and education.

Laughing. I heard that pee also glows in that bathroom. The person who communicated this to me was most impressed.

I was not aware of that, Alyssa. I tend to avoid that bathroom….I think sometimes I want to pretend it doesn't exist….especially when other adults come over for dinner….

wow, so much fun! dad's are the best. i'm with you – i can't compete. "dad is the fun." it doesn't matter how many crafts i do, how many stories i read or games i play, if daddy gives them a piggy back ride or plays hide-and-seek before bed then that is the highlight of their day 🙂 i love it that he's their hero.

What a fun dad and I'm going to Target TOMORROW and getting me some glow in the dark markers so I can be cool like Gil!

ha…that's great, Melodie! Just make sure they don't draw on the grout…doesn't exactly "wipe off" of that part….not that that happened in my bathroom or anything….
